Staffs, Staves, Mana-based weapons
I think there should be an added focus on mana, with staffs and magic weapons, as at the moment it sort of feels like a side feature in a game clearly trying to revolve around magic and elemental power
Perhaps make Staffs that you can "bind" specific active abilities too, and allow it so you can level that ability via the staff, independent of the abilities equipped on the character itself. Perhaps make it so you can fuse specific elemental crystals or Mana into the staff to progress down a level tree for the specific spell, sort of like what already exists for the Elements at the spirit anchor, but for each ability (I.E with the Fireblast, make it so you can choose between ignite DoT vs initial impact dmg), and alike to the Elements, make it so unbinding the spell/switching the spell resets progression to work up to again, to incentivize specific spell staffs

The current spirit/elder-spirit system I really enjoy.. making choices about your play style, and using them in conjunction with archery/melee, but absolutely this suggestion is something they 'could' delve into further if they have time and interest.... the spells are already there.. maybe the staff gives you an extra spell and reduces cooldown and adds regen.. cooldown is rly what stops you from just being a magic user.
